Local Culture

In the afternoon of the second day we went to town to buy our snacks for the week. We went to several markets while Osiris negotiated for the best price. We walked out on the pier and saw all the fishing boats. For lunch we had fried chicken, rice, and potatoes. For dinner we were treated to baleadas. They are corn tortillas with refried beans, eggs with hot dogs and mantequilla which is like sour cream. Larry, Jim, and David worked on fixing doors during the day with all the product donated by Simpson Strong Tie. Our Restore products were being used here. Varnish on the Waits home, mops, brooms, coffee tables, remixed paint, outdoor patio chairs, tile for the boys bathrooms, and toilets. We had devotional led by Mike Anderson highlighting his mothers life.
