Today we started work. One team of seven on the Habitat house and one at the house of Hope building the wall for the new classrooms.
At Send Hope first moved all the concrete block to the site then we finished two rows of the wall. Our tasks were mixing mezcla and putting the mortar between the joints. By the end of the day we had finished 385 blocks in 4 rows.
At the Habitat house they filled the floor with the dirt and did three rows of blocks.
Today was the first day of school. All the school aged kids got pads and pens from the McKinney Convention and visitors bureau. They loved them.
We got to see the aunt of Carla, Dinora. They are building her a house right now. The kids have grown so much.
It was a great day.
